Final Cut Pro 7 Directions

Follow the instructions below to export your project XML from FCP 7.

  1. In the Final Cut Browser window select the sequence you’d like to parse.
  2. Choose File > Export > XML...
  3. From the Export XML window choose the default, version 5.
  4. Select OK and save your XML file.
  5. Upload your file below.

Premiere Pro Directions

As of version 6, Premiere Pro XML exports information by entire project, not individual sequences. It therefore requires a brief workaround to create an XML for just one timeline.

  1. Create a new Premiere Pro project (Command-Option-N). Don’t worry about settings.
  2. Choose File > Import... and select the project that contains your final sequence.
  3. From the Import popup menu select Import Selected Sequences. Premiere Pro will generate a list of sequences used in your project. (This may take a moment.)
  4. Select your sequence and click OK.
  5. Now, choose Export > Final Cut Pro XML...
  6. Click Save and save your XML file.
  7. Upload your file below.
